Some news is out today for the soon to be Australian iPhone 3G owners. There is now going to be three carriers selling the iPhone in Australia. You had Optus and Vodafone already and today Telstra joins the other two. I kind of wish something like this was available in the US. It would be good for Apple, for AT&T not so much. If the two other big networks here in the states picked up the iPhone it would be great to see their rate plans and give us consumers a choice on which has the best coverage and rates for our area. Luckily for me my family and I were already on Cingular and got mushed with all of the other AT&T owners. We get great coverage in our area and really everywhere else I have been. Even at school two states away I get the same great coverage. Now that’s not to say I am an AT&T fanboy, haha. I would love to see a competition between T-Mobil and AT&T for my money. The coverage is really about the same in the midwest so I would pick whoever offered more for my money. They better offer an unlimited data plan if they were smart, that’s all I’m saying. So congratulations Australian iPhone fans your choice has widened yet one carrier wider. I’m not sure if that is a good thing as I know nothing about the cell business down under, but I’m hoping it’s good. Atleast better than what Rogers is doing to my friends up north, eh?
A comment left by greytfriend made me think about adding up the “real” cost of the iPhone 3G compared to iPhone 2.5G. Here is my math, you tell me if I am wrong.
The original 8GB iPhone cost $600 and the smallest plan from AT&T was $60 a month, totalling $1320 for one year of service. Now take the new iPhone 3G costs. The 8GB iPhone 3G is $200 and your service costs goes up to $70 from $60, totalling $1040 for a year of service with the iPhone 3G. Even if you add in the price drop of $200 that was made soon after the release of the original iPhone you still spend about $100 less a year on the 3G iPhone. My math could be wrong so please correct me.
Well today I made a video for you guys. It’s a stop motion video though, which is even better! I’ve seen some really awesome stop motion videos out there so that’s what I want to do today. If you’ve made one please send me the youtube link or some link so I can watch it, if not just send me a link to your favorite stop motion video. Mine is nowhere near as good as the ones I’ve seen, but I had fun so that’s all that matters right? My bed makes itself, check it out…

Yeah I had read about that program, I’m checking it out for my next one. I want to do a really creative one, haha. I’m just too much of a control freak and like to do it myself with final cut.
I have had only one story break 20 diggs, just make a bunch of friends and shout your stories to them. I have around 150 friends I think and only around 80 receive shouts, so then from those 80 I get about 15 diggs. Try that out man.
