Hope everyone has recovered from their 4th of July. It’s Saturday now and it’s definitely a day to relax. On the iPhone 3G front there is some new tidbits of news. First Apple Japan now has a iPhone Guided Tour Video. I didn’t watch all of it, but it’s fun to see how the hand writing works in the Japanese language. Second there is speculation going around that on the bottom of the iPhone there are two screws possibly allowing for the user to open it up and replace the battery. Now Apple hasn’t said anything about this, and usually they do hide their screws from sight so it’s interesting. For all we know the production model could ship without these screws. We’ll know more on what they do when we reach the 11th next Friday!!

Anyway let’s get on with something to do today that will take our focus somewhere else. If you are on the internet at all and pay attention to what’s going on you’ll know about Spore. Spore is a game where you play as a single cell. You squirm your way around the world eating and evolving. You creature develops intelligence and becomes a social creature the more you use him or her. It’s a pretty fun game if you’ve never played it. But here is where it gets good. The people of the internet have run wild with the Spore Creature Creator that is a new part of the game coming out in 2008. This creator lets you make any kind of creature you want. Of course giving that much freedom to the user you get some funny results. There has been a rash of creatures created that have, well to be blunt, genitalia that is enlarged and very obvious. And as the header says, they have been nick named Sporn. The concept is simple create a creature with extremities that aren’t right and look similar to “you know what” then upload your video to YouTube to show the world. Being the nerd and creep that I am I wanted to join in on this phenomonon and create my own Sporn Creature. So here he is in all of his glory.
